Is it okay to breastfeed if you have thrush?
Yes. Breastfeeding is best for babies and does not need to be interrupted even if the mother or the baby has thrush. However, both mother and baby should be treated with anti-fungal medication for one to two weeks after the symptoms have cleared. Keep in mind that breastfeeding with thrush can be painful.
