A woman can know if she has thrush infection if her discharge is heavier than normal. The discharge is usually white, and thick. Another symptom is itching in the vagina and around the vulva and the woman’s partner may have itching of the penis.

It is a mouth infection caused by a yeast fungus or also known as candida albicans. This organism usually thrives in warm moist places, such as the mouth.
